Friday I submit my college portfolio to the art department at SUNY New Paltz and my emotions are as follows:

I have to put together twelve photos. I am scanning lots and lots of old negatives because I want to put both film and digital pictures in my portfolio, but I can't find any place that will let me rent out some time in a darkroom. It's so sad that film is a dying thing

But anyway, since I'm scanning all this film, it means many new deviations I hope. I want to merge my experiences of film and digital so that they're all in one place.

It bothers me when photographers are pro-film and anti-digital or vice versa. Film and digital are way too different to even compare. That's what I wrote my college essay about, the death of film, and why both digital and film deserve to exist. Maybe I should post it under "literature" but I'll have to look into that because I've never submitted any writing here.

Anyway, blahblah. Nervous for Friday! Wish me luck.
